Mountainside Escape

Some states known for their mountainside lodges and ski resorts include Utah, New Mexico and Colorado. Located within the Rocky Mountain region, these states offer people the chance to appreciate the beauty of the slopes and the coziness of a warm fire in the quaint lodges and cabins.

Some of the top rated Colorado ski resorts include Crested Butte, Steamboat, Telluride, Aspen and Breckenridge, according to onthesnow.com. In New Mexico, some of the more popular destinations include Angel Fire, Santa Fe and Red River, according to ontheshow.com.

When people are searching for possible paces to visit, some important things to consider are the variety of mountain range paths (from just learning to advanced), the family friendliness of the area, the price, shopping and other fun things to do, and the general feel of the area.

The only ski town I’ve ever visited is Boulder, Colorado which is near Eldora Ski Resort. I was impressed with the comfort I felt at this resort, which catered to families and beginners. The ski lift was easy to get on and off, and the price for lift tickets was fair. Boulder is a college town, home to the University of Colorado, giving it a younger, lively feel. Pearl Street was home to a plethora of stores, restaurants, and night life.

I recommend checking out the above ski towns when you’re looking for a mountainside escape!
